Hamilton received the biggest Christmas present on Broadway for the week ending December 24, taking in $3,797,844—its highest total since the landmark hip hop musical premiered in July 2015 at the Richard Rodgers Theatre.

All eyes have been on Dear Evan Hansen since the departure of its Tony-winning star Ben Platt, who played his final performance in the musical November 19 after playing the role since its 2015 world premiere.

The Tony-winning production, which now stars The Real O’Neals' Noah Galvin in the title role, has continued its ascent at the box office in the last month. For the week ending December 24, Dear Evan Hansen grossed $1,862,542, its second-highest take after earning $1,950,120 for the lucrative Thanksgiving Week.

At the Broadhurst, Ahrens and Flaherty’s Anastasia—which has become a holiday classic on screen—also enjoyed its second-highest week, earning $1,232,248.
