Side Show opened on Broadway October 16, 1997, at the Richard Rodgers Theatre. Though its Broadway run was a brief 91 performances, Side Show has garnered a legion of fans. Robert Longbottom directed the original production that starred Tony nominee Emily Skinner and Tony Award winner Alice Ripley as Daisy and Violet Hilton, respectively. The actors shared a Tony Award nomination for their work.
