In celebration of NYC Pride, we revisit The Stonewall Portraits, which gathered members of the theatre community to The Stonewall Inn—the site of the 1969 uprising that ignited the modern LGBTQ Rights Movement. The first riot took place 49 years ago on June 28, 1969.

The photographs commemorate The Stonewall Inn’s designation as a National Historic Landmark, making it the first LGBTQ establishment in U.S. history to receive this distinction.

The exclusive portrait series was shot by photographer Eric McNatt.
