The 15th anniversary reunion concert of the 2002 Tony-winning musical Thoroughly Modern Millie is presented February 12 at the Minskoff Theatre.
The 7:30 PM concert, benefiting the Actors Fund, stars Tony Award winners Sutton Foster, Gavin Creel, and Harriet Harris, reprising their respective roles as Millie Dillmount, Jimmy Smith, and Mrs. Meers, alongside other original cast members including Marc Kudisch, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Francis Jue, and Anne L. Nathan. Megan McGinnis, who appeared in the original production as a replacement, is also taking part.
The evening also features myriad original ensemble members, including Tony winner Casey Nicholaw, Hello, Dolly! Tony nominee Kate Baldwin, Darren Lee, Catherine Brunell, Joyce Chittick, J.P. Christensen, Julie Connors, David Eggers, Gregg Goodbrod, Jessica Grové Susan Haefner, JoAnn M. Hunter, Alisa Hauser (Klein), Matt Lashey, Dan Lobuono, Noah Racey, Aaron Ramey, T. Oliver Reid, Megan Sikora, and Amy Heggins-Zink.
Dancers include Giovanni Bonaventura, Billy Bustamante, Holly Ann Butler, Kristen Smith Davis, Taurean Everett, Michael Fatica, Leslie Donna Flesner, Berklea Going, Tessa Grady, Jordana Grolnick, Michael Hartung, Jeff Heimbrock, Cameron Hobbs, Bryan Thomas Hunt, Ian Liberto, Colby Q. Lindeman, Robin Masella, Sarah Meahl, Shina Ann Morris, Phoebe Pearl, Kristyn Pope, Hillary Porter, Richard Riaz Yoder, and Borris York.
Thoroughly Modern Millie was the 2002–2003 season's most celebrated show, nominated for 12 Tony Awards and winning six, including Best Musical, Best Actress in a Musical (Foster), Best Featured Actress in a Musical (Harris), Best Costume Design (Martin Pakledinaz), Best Choreography (Ashford), and Best Orchestrations (Doug Besterman and Ralph Burns).
“This will be a legendary night of world-class talent,” said Actors Fund Chairman Brian Stokes Mitchell in an earlier statement. “I’m both honored and humbled that the producers, creative team and original cast are coming together to help those in need in our community.”
Original Broadway producers Hal Luftig, Kristen Caskey, and Mike Isaacson added, “To be able to revisit this show and bring many member of the original cast and creative team back together is a dream come true. And to be able to do this as a benefit for The Actors Fund, such an integral part of our theatrical community, is just icing on the cake."
