Lane stars opposite Kristine Nielsen and Julie White in the show by MacArthur Genius recipient Mac, “who has concocted this hilarious provocative original outrageous absurdist black comedy,” said Lane.

“What Taylor Mac has done is take three minor characters from [Shakespeare’s] Titus and put them in their own show,” he explained. Lane plays the titular clown Gary, who, along with Janice the maid, is responsible for cleaning up the bloody mess of bodies left after the Roman massacre in Shakespeare’s goriest tragedy.

“It’s sort of Game of Thrones meets Tidying Up With Marie Kondo,” Lane quipped.
